A Homeowner Information Package from Tarion will be provided to you at the time of your Pre-Delivery Inspection.
On the day of your PDI, we will personally guide you through your new home and provide you with any and all information you will require about the home including your Tarion Home Information Package. We will test and demonstrate all of your home's features and systems. Together we will make note of anything damaged, missing or incomplete.
There are two opportunities for homeowners to submit Statutory Warranty Forms to Tarion in the first year of possession:
30 Day Form
Tarion's first warranty deadline is 30 days after you take possession. This period covers any items remaining from the PDI and any newly discovered items. We encourage you to contact us at email@example.com to discuss any items of concern prior to submitting your 30-day form. The 30 day form is included in your Home Owners Information Package.
Year End Form
Within the 30 days before the first year anniversary of the date of possession: Once within the 30 days before the first anniversary of the date of possession, the homeowner is entitled to submit a Year-End Form, listing any items that are believed to be covered by a statutory warranty.
